Mobile Phone Text Message Scams
We are getting reports of people receiving text message phishing scams. The text messages are being received from "the credit union" stating that their debit card has been locked. They are provided a number to call, and when they do they are prompted to enter their entire card number. This is a phishing scam and is not generated by White Sands FCU or any other financial institution.
DO NOT respond to this text message and delete it immediately. This message is NOT from White Sands FCU or any of your other financial institutions.
White Sands FCU will never ask you to call or email us, and and then ask you to give us confidential information such as your login ID, password, account numbers, Social Security number or debit card numbers. If you receive any such request, DO NOT respond to it. Please notify us immediately at 1 (800) 658.9933.
